Day 34. Compliant, happier and entertained by kids

The next 8 days are a whirlwind of activities. Can't forget Valentine's day!
My younger DD turns 31 tomorrow, the elder turns 34 next Wednesday.
Where did THAT time go?
Their father must be getting older.
We went to our usual diner last night. I felt the need for some "real" food and picked an open faced London broil sandwich, substituted green beans for fries. The waitress brought it out and apologized, she forgot to put on the mushroom gravy! I must have a guardian angel. It was just right, I ate half the meat, all the green beans the coleslaw, and about 5 of my DH's fries. The meat arrived on rolls that had been pan fried. They got peeled into playing card thickness just for the taste of the garlic and oil.
Even over estimating the amount of oil used on the rolls...my dinner didn't push me near my daily limit. When I brought home my leftovers I found I estimated correctly. The meat was 4 ounces, the "peeled" bread only 1 ounce.
I'm getting good at this.
Ah, the entertainment.
We were awaiting the arrival of younger DD's boyfriend...the Brit. He got the last plane to the USA before they shut down due to the weather. Whew.
The girls explained who was coming to my GS in anticipation of meeting his future uncle.
He is known by his nickname "Woody"
You got it.
Lucas asked if Buzz Lightyear was coming too!
