Keeping track

Last month, one of my fellow Tangerines, I think it was Steph-knee mentioned that she created a spreadsheet to keep track of her nutrition and exercise. I thought it sounded like a great idea so I created my own spreadsheet. I am not a computer geek by any means and have always struggled with spreadsheets but I managed to create one by myself without asking my sons.

I set it up to log my calories, my steps, my miles, my calories burned according to fitbit, my fitness minutes according to fitbit and sparkpeople. I'm not really sure if I need all that data or not but it's there to do whatever I want. One thing I did do was to subtract the calories I ate from the calories I burned. I got 16,730 and then divided that by 3500 which is how many calories it takes to lose a pound. I got 4.78 and I lost 4.2 pounds in February. I think that is fairly accurate. Now, I am going to pay a lot more attention to how many calories I am burning in relation to how much I am taking in. It has also helped me to be very honest in tracking my food.
Let's see what I can with March!
