Spring Cleaning.... inside and out
Friday, March 21, 2014
Today is better. I managed to make yesterday a better day than the few days that went before it. I am looking back just on March and it has been a tough month. Not horrible, but not my favorite month either. I could look at the crappy things that happened (my Dad's declining health, my brother's jacked up back, my nephew having to delay entry into college, losing my favorite Aunt, Mother Nature being such a fickle-------well, you know... finding myself to be a potter without a pot since the "self-imposed sabbaticle (sp?) from ceramics when I left my studio -- the list can just keep going).
I can look at the great things that have happened (my doggie Gracie Lou's recovery is going SO well, March Fitness Madness has been a pretty amazing experience on multiple levels -- and not just for me, I am writing again, my physical health has improved enough that I get to bring back my beloved veggie garden - in a modified version, but that is better than NO version, we made huge progress on the landscaping stuff that has carried over from last summer).
OR -- I can look at the whole picture and realize that there has been a lot of living that has been done in the month of March.... and it isn't even over yet!
No, I don't feel 100% joyful, charged, and ready to take on the world. BUT -- I don't feel like I have just been beaten up by the school bully for my lunch money either.
So, today, I get to clean the house (which will help boost my health and my fitness minutes), I am starting to look at spring cleaning and what all I am going to do in order to get into those nooks and crannies (this is actually one of my favorite activities of the year -- color me a little sick and twisted....lol), I got a new Yoga video that I am going to try out, and I am going to send out some SparkGoodies to my fellow Fitness Marchers to make their day.
A special shout out to my dearest SparkFriends APRIL_V_2, PEACELOVEJOY, FIT4HZGLORY and FRESHBEGINNINGS -- you ladies are a true inspiration to the Red Hat Lady :) Thank you ALL for caring, inspiring, and just BEING -- just the way you are. Not just for me, but for so many others whose lives I see you touch.
