Well everybody my flower beds are finally planted and all I have to do is stay on weed patrol and wait for the flowers to grow. You will see 3 pictures of the flower beds. Along the back fence do you see the little shrubs( flowers growing) well these will grow 6 feet tall so as I don't have to see my pain in the butt neighbour. They will come back every year (the flowers) I will take more pictures when they get taller
. In the yard is the flower bed that my daughter and son-in-law helped me with yesterday and we were all tired. But that's ok.

    Keep up the good work.
It is really hard work to diet and to garden.
Dieting and gardening are similar, they both change over time and the outcome is beautiful.
    You can do it!
I have many friends who have had big changes in their lives like you have.
I always suggest they plant a garden, because like a young child it grows and changes and everyday there is something new and beautiful.
I am also from Canada but have lived in Texas since 1988.
I miss the beautiful gardens in Canada but welcome the strange and interesting flowers in Texas and the South.
I have recently started a line of greeting cards that represent my neighbors flowers.
I take photos of the flowers and create beautiful cards from them.
It has become a wonderful community creation.
At anytime I could get a call that someone has a flower in their back yard that is blooming and they want me to come and take a photo.
I have about 3000 photos now just since Easter.
I have been able to introduce neighbors that have lived on the same street for 30 years and never met.
It is so precious to me that flowers can bring together so many people, in such a positive way.
I know through your blog that you to will bring together many to see your flowers and see how you are doing.
Please post as many photos as you can because I would love to see them.
I know they will not be really bright for a few months but I cannot wait to see them.
I have been a member for a few months and too busy to look at the emails.
    But, I opened yours.
Have a great day Nancy, keep up the good work and remember the old saying: No matter what the style always wear a smile.

Hi Nancy, your flower bed will be lovely. I'm not sure where you live (I'm in MO), but I haven't be able to get my hands in the dirt yet. My tulips started spouting and the next thing you know we got 6 inches of snow (they seem to be alright). I'm hoping I can get my iris bulbs planted this weekend. I've only been gardening for 4 years now and still in the process of trying new things. I have some perenneals, but like to add annual for more color. Have a wonderful Easter.
