I have a copy of an old Family Circus Sunday comic that says exactly the same thing as the last cartoon in your blog. There's a picture of Billy watching tv, and the thought bubble above his head is empty. Then he goes and gets a book, and the thought bubble is filled with ALL kinds of characters!! Both of my parents were avid readers, and they encouraged me to be the same. I have piles of books throughout the house, and more on my Kindle. Then there's the children's books that I buy to read to my students. I have hundreds. I would rather buy books than clothes. Oh wait, I just did that yesterday!

I am a reader, hubby is not!! I do have over 2,000 books in the house. My son built me a wall to wall book case downstairs a couple of years ago and then freaked out because my books didn't all fit into it. The have a fairly good collection of English books at the local library, and you can find some English books in most of the bookstores here, but my favorite place is Amazon!! They almost always have what I want. I was looking for The Dark Tower series by Stephen King last fall and couldn't find it anywhere including Amazon, but just 1 month after my initial search, low and behold they had the entire collection, which I ordered and received maybe 5 days later. I couldn't imagine a world without books!!
