Hey, all!

So, as some of you are already aware, Coca~Cola's a HUGE addiction for me. It's the one thing with which I've struggled with more than anything else in my life, & I struggle a lot due to my nature & personality & tendency to think a lot. Other things I've managed to overcome with God's help, thankfully, but this one thing lingers as my super struggle.

Last week, my consumption of this sugary, syrupy thing was way down, & I love 1.5 kg, which is approximately 3 pounds. What does that tell ya? Yeah, I know that Coke's a huge part of why I've gained so much weight since being laid off last October, along with being at home a lot. This past winter wasn't all that great for going out, & I let myself get super lazy & cozy as my cat curled up on my lap.

I got a lot of crocheting in, which is definitely a plus, & I haven't really had much junk food due to not being to afford it, & that's a great thing. I have been eating healthier overall, & that only benefits me. So even though I haven't exercised much in the past several months, I should've lost some weight due to a decrease in caloric intake. That's how it's supposed to work, anyway.

Ah, but let's not forget to factor in CC!! Yup! It's the main reason I've not lost any weight & have gained. Of course it's not the only reason, that's for sure! But it does play a huge part in that.

Last week I had drunk the last can of Coke I had here in my home, & then I had another couple later in the week. Before that, though, I'd had one or two every day for a long time.

I weighed myself yesterday, & 1.5 kg less!! Whoohoo! :)

The last time before that that I'd weighed myself had been the previous Thursday, & I was 0.5 kg more than the last entry I'd made here. That really got to me, but I let myself get down - for a day or so.

Then I had that last can that was here in my home. I savoured it & enjoyed it because I knew that it'd be the last one for quite a while. In the middle of the week, I did have those two other cans, & I enjoyed them, too, but they were already not as good as I always think the stuff is.

Since this past Thursday or so, I'd been craving a chai blended drink, & last night on my way home from Chilliwack to my home here in Agassiz, I picked up a Chai Frappaccino (tall size) to enjoy today. Oh, man! Am I enjoying it! Of course I don't need to have something with all that cream, but, still. I rarely indulge in anything these days, & so once in a while is not going to hurt me. It also satisfies a craving, & it makes me happy. Yum!

I am NOT a tea drinker, although I love the idea of tea. The whole ritual that goes along with it, whether a person uses tea bags or loose leaves, & I love High Teas. There's always something else to drink, & the scones & heavy cream & jam are just so good! I don't have that very often, but I love it when I do. It's a lovely thing to me.

Chai, though, I like. Some blends are a bit too much on the spicy side for me, but I still like them. There's something about the taste that really appeals to me, & it's the one tea that I could have all day. I do have a little metal container full of chai bags, & so I'm set. I'm going to start to have a cup every morning, starting tomorrow, & I'll find some good chai iced tea recipe. If any of you have one, please let me know.

This morning in church, the preacher mentioned replacing habits you want to get rid of with other things in his sermon, & that's what I need to do with Coke & other things. My water intake has greatly increased this week, & that, of course, is excellent. Sometimes, though, water just isn't enough, & so I've needed to find a replacement for Coke. Chai is it, or at least one of those, & I'm very happy to have that.

I hope that everyone's having an ejoyable Sunday! Take care & blessings, all!

Starbucks is my weakness. Peppermint Mocha's. I too am trying to cut down. When I go to Starbucks, I now make it a skinny drink. Not as many calories or fat that way. I had a hard time drinking water, so I put flavored ice cubes in the water. I don't know why that makes a difference, but it does. Now when I drink water it doesn't feel like lead in my stomach. Keep working at it. Your losing, and that is a good thing.
