Going out to eat at Golden Corral Help!

I have been eating right lately. I have been eating according to my diet plan. We have family here from out of town. We are taking her out to eat at Golden corral. The whole family is looking forward to it. I want to track my food and stay on plan while I'm there. Any advice would be appreciated!

    If you need more incentive, please know that restaurant food is loaded with sodium and unhealthy fat, and if you have been diagnosed with heart disease, then you want to follow a low sodium (or if the doctor insists, a Very Low Sodium) diet (as in "what you eat"). I like Donald Gazzaniga's cookbooks. Our family switched to low sodium when I was a teenager (after my father had 2 heart attacks); my younger brother and I developed a preference for low sodium, as a consequence. Since I met my husband, he now has little tolerance for much fried food or heavy sodium.

    I allow myself a reward day and one higher cal / carb day without guilt. I try to make good choices and pick small amounts and focus on the enjoyment from the activity not the enjoyment from the food.

    Chew slowly and try putting your fork down between bites. These two tricks help you recognize when you have had enough to eat.

    the go around and check out everything. narrow it down to the healthiest possible things you can find. if something really looks tempting, take only a fork full on your plate
