Nutrition today was darn near perfect. Well, up until dinner anyway!
Breakfast: had my usually healthy morning smoothie, but I took the dive and added a small handful of spinach! Now I love spinach, I just always thought I didn't much want to drink it! But I didn't even notice it; it's like free nutrition with hardly any calories! I can't wait to experiment more with different things in my smoothies!
Lunch: used my new Rubbermaid salad keeper thingy and packed salad for lunch: some iceburg lettuce with spinach mixed in, a half of a nice beautiful red tomato, and a fresh cucumber, with 1 oz of cheddar cheese and Ken's Lite Honey mustard dressing. It was delish and kept me full until dinner!
Dinner: Here's where it's not so good, had fried egg on a whole wheat English muffin with two slices of bacon and home fries. Added a slice of nice ripe tomato to try to "healthy" it up. That's what I get for not planning the meal ahead.
Still, with my exercise for the day (which will be the subject of another post...I like to keep my posts short or no one will ever want to read them!), I was well within (actually under) my calorie range for the day, and pretty high on good nutrient stuff. Now if I just stay away from snacking before bed, I'll be golden!
Oh and I was down 1 lb this morning :)
