I didn't do a blog for my week 8. For those of you curious, I'm part of a weight loss challenge with some neighbors. We all put fifty bucks into the pot, winner takes all. So obviously.. it would be sweet to win. However, I've had a tough time. My weight has been going up and down, up and down. In fact last week, was my heaviest week of the challenge. *groan. Perhaps that's why I didn't do a dang blog. I don't know why, but I was retaining water like a camel last week. I know that was a big part of the gain, but I'm at a bit of a loss as to WHY? Wasn't anything to do with being a girl. I know when to expect that. Anyways, this week is better. My ankles aren't cankles! WooHoo! Mabye I've just been hydrating better. either way... "I'll take it!"
So.. I finally jumped in my placement on the board with total percentage loss. Now instead of being last or next to last, I'm in third place. Yeah!!! And yes... I calculated how much more I need to lose to beat our current #1. LOL Competative much? So, I have to lose about 4 lbs to move to #1. If I REALLY put my mind to it, and close my mouth and keep my hands out of the sugar, I KNOW I can do it. The problem is... haha 1. I won't always have that mentality... sometimes I "forget" or just go "oh well". and 2. We're going out of town this week for a few days. I'm pretty positive I CAN make good choices, the question is... will I? I think breakfast will be the most difficult. I'm wondering if I can pack some protein shakes? haha Seriously though, I think I might do that.
So... in a recap.. Only 3 more weeks left in this challenge. I. CAN. DO. IT.
