Reading this book called The Best Yes with my small group at church, there is also a SP team for it that I'm a part of. I'm loving this book. I didn't think it was for me, till I started reading it.
One of my favorite excerpts so far is: "Never despise the mundane. Embrace it. Unwrap it like a gift. And be one of the rare few who looks deeper than just the surface. See something more in the everyday. It's there." I highly recommend it, it is a great read, comes with a great work book and a website to help you along if you're just doing it with the SP group or by yourself.
No work out today. I feel awful. I spent most of yesterday evening in bed with the cold chills. Today I'm tripling up on my Juice Plus. I don't have time to be sick. I'm having a friend over for a play date with the kids for lunch and then for dinner I'm having over the Aunt for tea and cake. She got her feelings hurt that we ate all of my first made from scratch cake without having her over, so I've made it again and it needs to get eaten! So no work out, though I imagine as I run about getting the house clean again I'll get enough of a work out doing that, LOL!
Yes, I'm going to probably indulge in a bite or two of chocolate cake. It's a dark chocolate cake, so not too sweet, I was suprised at how little sugar is actually in it. I didn't do so good with my 6 meals yesterday, but that seems to happen when I go out places. So I bought a bunch of breakfast bars and some bananas, things I can take places with me. Tomorrow I'm going to be spending at Starbucks. Wish me luck. LOL! I've decided that my 'treat' for therapy is going to be starbucks - extra caffeine to help me get through the low energy I usually have after a therapy session, but then I have two hours till my mammogram appointment (yes, I'm actually going this time!) Two hours to spend piddling around town waiting for time to pass. Maybe I'll go get some shrimp tacos.
1330 apricot chicken salad on multigrain bread
Plus a cup of boiled peanuts for in between snacking when I get munchies. Maybe some carrots too. If I get the munchies, that is a lot of eating!!! I don't think a banana is enough for breakfast, must think of something to go with it. Maybe a protein. Hmm...
Both of my girls just got pen pals! One in TN and the other in NJ! Yay! One day I hope they'll get to meet too.
