Better than NOthing

today is day 4 of my return to the Eat to Live program. I made the mistake of weighing myself...gained two pounds since i began....I have some reason to think that that weight is not fat....we'll see how it resolves if you know what I mean.
Anyway I've gone over board a couple of times and had two starches in a day instead of one...and mostly that occurred in the middle of the night when I had some whole wheat crackers. And worst of all, I ate some sugary cereal in the wee hours. I have to cut that out. Last time I did this I resolved the issue by eating a piece of fruit if I woke and had to eat.
I am doing it...but I'm not completely doing it....Partly because I discovered that one of the two bags of salad I bought had gone bad (I get groceries delivered and sometimes they don't bring the freshest things). Salad is supposed to be my main course. I made some salad dressing, so have that for once I get back from shopping. My daughter is taking me to get groceries today....I need a few things to make it through the week.
Today I went through my closets...well, my helper did, i just supervised and said 'keep it or pitch it" We ended up with three garbage bags full to donate , some things we threw out and now my closet in my room is not packed full of clothes that don't fit or are from the summer.
So I'm making progress...I've been exercising my arms almost all day as I'm online or reading....time to work on the core and the legs...I also did some squats holding the weights. Only got 15 in but it;s better than nothign
