I tell ya what.. 12 miles puts the hurt on people. oof! I think 10 miles is my limit for a "feel good" run.
I've been having some hip pain, nothing serious, but just a dull pain. So I decided to give that fancy "KT" tape a try. Slapped it on my hip Saturday morning and went on my run. I think it actually did work! I've watched the video on it, and honestly I still don't completely get how it works, I just know it really did seem to help. I felt pretty good, and was going at a good consistent pace... that is, until I hit 10 miles. I did a 9/1 split, which is 9 miles jogging, 1 min walking for the entire run. After 10 miles, walking wasn't even easier. Just different muscles hurting. But.. I finished. We're supposed to do 14 miles next weekend, but that's not happening. I think I'll do 9 or 10. Only 3 weeks till the Half Marathon! I'm pretty excited to do it and pretty excited to be done... but.. of course... of course.. I'm already looking at other HM's. LOL I know, I know. I'll go read that blog, I'll laugh and sign up for another one.
I think I have decided to not do another one this time of year though. I've already got enough going on between October - December to be doing these dang long runs every Saturday. I found a list of "great" HM's to do, so I'm going to look at those. Might be fun to travel and run!
