No question this time... this IS part 2! :)
My next goal is fitness related. I haven't ran much since my HM earlier this month, but I'm doing a New Years Day 5K on Thursday. Then on Saturday I'll start my new training! This new training is "Pick up the pace 5k/10k training" It will help me become a faster runner, WHICH is my next goal. *trumpets playing*
Right now I'm jogging at about a 13:30 - 13:00 minute miles. I CAN run faster, but not for long. So my goal for the Alamo Run Fest is to run an average of a 12 min/mile. The Alamo Run Fest is at the end of February and I'll be doing a 10K. If I'm not mistaken, that means I should finish, just shy of 75 minutes.
Now, to be fair, I'm honestly not sure if this is "attainable". I'm not sure if that's a reasonable time frame for increasing my speed. I suppose I'll know within a month. It should be though. Considering I'll be training with a group, and I'll be following a specific training schedule.
