Another new beginning

Sunday, January 04, 2015

I used to go to the gym regularly. Granted, it's been at least five years, but there was a time (yes, even though I was morbidly obese) where I was in the gym at least three to four times per week for at least an hour. Sometimes it was ONLY cardio and sometimes it was half cardio and half resistance. The point is, I'm no stranger to the gym, but I fell off the wagon years ago and my weight has skyrocketed since then. Today, I went back for my first FORMAL workout in at least five years. I spent a half hour with a trainer, 20 minutes on the recumbent bike and tried my very first Yoga class ever.

Tomorrow I'm attending my very first aqua aerobics class ever and Tuesday will be my very first Zumba class ever. I feel very self-conscious about all this but if I don't take a first-step then I'll NEVER get to a point where the self-consciousness goes away.

I'm eager to start seeing the changes in my body that I know all this work can bring. :-D

hey now, I cannot remember the last time I was not morbidly obese but I love my gym, weight and fitness are definitely not always tied but they sure complement each other well the lower your weight, the easier all of the working out seems to be.

way to get back in the gym! what a great feeling and way to start the year!
