New Year, New Start! Never giving up!

Hi! I got back from a trip to New Orleans for New Years, and have started back on the fitness lifestyle (not diet, see what I did there). I'm currently on Day 7 of clean eating and working out regularly. I signed up for a 5k to get back into running, so I have about 4 more weeks to train. Signing up for runs has always kept me motivated, but I have to be careful to not injure my knees, I am super prone to Runner's Knee and injuries.
I had lost 30 lbs last December by doing a 46-day juice only cleanse. I loved the juices, but I don't love the time, money & effort it takes to juice only. I ended up gaining it all back because I did not transition correctly to clean eating. I am back where I started but this time not losing for a friend's wedding, or a trip, this time I am losing FOR ME! For my health, to start dating, for my future to avoid diabetes and heart disease which run in my family. This time I am taking the slow but steady lifestyle change route, rather than any quick fixes or diets. Just eating alot of protein, less carbs, more veggies and fruit and working out 5 or so days a week. I feel really amazing and I am only on Day 7! Down almost 5lbs. I have been avoiding dating due to my weight and I just decided I am fed up! I am ready to get back to the healthy me I used to be before I gained 100lbs 5 years ago. I am SO ready! lol.
I will keep fighting and working to reach and maintain my goals! Hope you do too!
