Day 22 / shopping
Thursday, January 22, 2015
I feel like I got my workout in yesterday, going shopping with a friend. I met her for lunch and had plans to go shopping for jeans afterwards. So she decided to join me. We went to a place called Bargain Hunt, which has a little bit of everything from name brand places on things that did not sell or have gone out of style. Found a nice pair of pants there. Then went to Ross and Marshalls, I had not been to either in, oh... 10 years or more. I loved Ross, and loved the prices. Marshalls didn't have very much in plus sizes. I think I'd love it if didn't have to shop the plus sizes, which they didn't have very much of, they had a ton of cute stuff, if you are small enough to wear it. I only bought 2 shirts and one pair of jeans one pair of yoga pants (for at home). But it felt nice to go out and go shopping and actually buy stuff for myself. I kept finding stuff to buy for everyone else, but stopped myself. This time I need clothes and I need to spend the money on me!
I had a burger last night. Yesterday was so busy, I barely had time to feed the kids before AWANA (I got home and it was almost time to go!). Every actual sit down place to eat was swamped and we only had an hour before DH had to go to practice (plays bass/guitar for the worship team) so Five Guys it was. I will work it off today at lunch exercising!
It felt so nice to actually be shopping for me, I almost want to go out and do some more shopping today. But I'd have the kids today so It would not be the same. I love them, but shopping like that can be much more exhausting with them along.
Today my pan should come in the mail so tonight I'm going to make the Kind bars. We are going to make the dark chocolate cherry ones. YUM! I hope they turn out good because I've already got three friends wanting to try them when I'm done!
Another translations the last one is 'sound mind'. I'm reading a book by Dr. David Jeremiah called, "What Are Your Afraid Of?" It's about facing down your fears with faith. When I'm done with it I'll be reading his next book, "Captured by Grace".
