Day 2

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

Overall, I did pretty well yesterday. As usual, I started off great and then ended up with some bad choices near the end of the night.

I was dressed and all ready to go to Zumba class when my hubby and I decided to go see American Sniper. We have been wanting to see it for awhile and thought Monday night would be less crowded and maybe a little cheaper than other nights. Of course it was in RMAX, which was $5.00 higher than normal price so by the time all was said and done, our movie night cost us a whopping $42.00. That was for the tickets, popcorn and soda. Next time, I will just order the medium or small instead of asking my husband what he wants because it was way too much and we ended up throwing some away. Oh well, neither of us could remember the last time we went to a movie and this was definitely worth the money. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it.

So today I will start off well and end well. It's all about planning and sticking to it!

I really enjoyed that movie! DH isn't so keen on war movies...I think it's because he lost so many of his buddies in the VietNam war and he feels guilty because he was listed 4F due to having seizures as a kid. I thought the movie was great and it really shed some light on how war impacts our brave men and women that serve. It saddens me that the government doesn't treat them as the TRUE heros that they are! THEY are the ones that should have lifetime medical benefits, and big salaries that the 'do nothing' congress and senate people get. Booooooo~to them for taking care of no one but themselves. It's a sad sad state of affairs!

BUT...we can do our part in helping our war heros in our own little ways. I have a sparky friend serving in Afghanistan and try to encourage her and help her here on Spark. I keep saying I'm going to send her a care package and this week will be the week!

Keep going on your resolve for better health...you owe it to your own sweet self and I'm cheering you on...every step of the way! emoticon emoticon
