3 weeks and counting....

I have logged into SparkPeople for 3 weeks and 5 days now (counting today). I have been consistently tracking my foods eaten and my exercise - and the process of tracking my exercise seems to have helped with the motivation of actually exercising! In my past life (before SparkPeople) if I hadn't exercised by mid-afternoon, then I chucked it for the day hoping to do a better job the next day - which rarely happened. But for some reason - maybe because I want to be able to check off my goal of 10 minutes each day, maybe because I also want to meet my weekly exercise goal of 200 minutes, maybe just because I am actually starting to feel better; I am finding myself on the yoga mat at 430 p.m. before I prepare a healthy dinner (another rarity in my BSP days) or I'm on the Stationary Bike at 8:00 p.m. because I haven't met my minutes for the day - I've even found myself on the Treadmill after dinner just to up my steps for the day.
However, the disheartening thing so far is that although I seem to have lost a couple of pounds - they keep coming back. My weight is fluctuating up and down and there is no apparent consistency to why. I do feel better overall. My energy level is higher, I am actually starting to sleep better (something that has eluded me for over 30 years now) and my pants feel a bit looser around the waist. All these things MUST be a sign that something is working.
So Thank You SparkPeople - especially to you Chris "SparkGuy" for motivating me in a way that nothing else has been able to for as long as I can remember I hope I can keep myself on this program to actually see my weight loss goal of 50#'s by my birthday next December. I'm trying hard to keep my motivation up, to not get discouraged; all your wonderful articles are helping tremendously!
Hopefully next week I'll have some real progress to report!
