So I've slacked off for a bit. Work got really busy and so did other stuff. I'm trying my best to fit time in each day to Spark but I haven't really tried hard enough.
I'm miserable with myself. The weather is cold and we have about 6 inches of snow. Zumba was cancelled and I have a difficult time making myself exercise when I don't have a class to be at or someone to meet. My eating is not the best but it's not the worst, either. The biggest struggle I find is when I bend over to tie my shoes. My stomach is too big and in the way. I really don't mean to be so down on myself but I have to find someway out of this rut.
Today I will find 10 minutes to do some sort of exercise. Probably the elliptical at lunch time. So far, I've done great with my diet. We are going out to dinner tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday, which is tomorrow. I will look at the menu and plan what I will eat before going. I know there will always be obstacles so planning is the key.
I always know that the most important thing about BOTH of us is that no matter WHAT...we NEVER give up! And honestly I think that eventually that will be the key to our success! Life is so full of obstacles and set backs but if you just KEEP on going on your resolve to get healthy you know it will come about! You have a beautiful family and they love you with all their hearts so it's your motherly duty to take good care of yourself so that you will be around for a long, long time for them to have and cherish.
My friend that had the stroke had gained a PAINFUL amount of weight and I'm just sure that that...along with all the meds she was taking had a big impact on her stroke/heart attack. Now her poor DH is beside himself without her! His life has been as sorrowfully impacted as hers..I know we both NEVER want something to happen like that to us..so the key is to take better care of ourselves each and every day.
Believe me...that is a piece of cake compared to what poor Sheila has in front of her if she can even recover from this massive stroke.
It's been a SERIOUS wake up call for me! We can do it...all we have to do is plan, plan, plan, and do more of our own cooking and freezing for meal prep.
Lets really encourage each other to do this...I know we can and together we are just that much stronger. Tell me one good thing you do every day to promote your health and I'll do the same. Hugs, hugs, and MORE hugs my sweet beautiful friend!
Today I had a healthy steel cut oatmeal breakfast with blueberries and tea. I'll be sure to have a good healthy snack during the day so I'm not so ravished at dinnertime. 1865 days ago
