Juice Plus finally came in yesterday! So, I'm so excited to start on the Transform 30 program for the next 30 days! What is Transform 30? Well, for the next 30 days I will be drinking Juice Plus's (JP's) protein shake (made from plant proteins) instead of two meals and then having one sensible, portion controlled meal. I'll probably do shake for breakfast and lunch and then eat dinner. Not only that, but I'll be giving up wheat and dairy and cutting down on the amount of sugar I take in (no sweets! but still having sugar in my coffee). I'll also be taking the JP supplements. They don't call them supplements, but I don't know what else to call them. I even ordered some extra of the kids gummies so that I can use them to munch on when I get a sweet craving (you don't have to worry about eating too many, they are just food, so it is fine).
DH and I were talking about it yesterday and he was pointing out all of the things that I won't be able to have. Putting it that way I felt a little deflated but came back and said, "If that is what it takes for me to lose this weight, then that is what I'm going t do." I'm lactose intolerant, but still eat cheeses and butter, so this will be a great chance to see what it is like without lactose and see if I've been bloated because of it, or if it is what has been causing me to have so much gas. I feel empowered by the book Made To Crave, and know that with God's help I can do this. I'll keep reading and praying and reminding myself that I'm made for more than this, I'm made for victory!
About to head upstairs and do my WiiFit workout, then downstairs to get on the elliptical for at least 10 minutes. I'm going to also try to put the riser on the WiiFit for at least the first 10 minutes. I'll let ya know how that goes!
Breakfast will be a chocolate shake with strawberries and banana. Lunch will be a vanilla shake with peaches, for kind of a 'peaches-n-cream' kind of shake. Hope the vanilla tastes good, it's not my favorite, I love the chocolate one.
My Kind bars (almond, cashew, pecan, cranberry's, cherries and raisins) turned out really good. I did go ahead and put a little drizzle of chocolate on top of it like I have with all of bars so far, but not much. I figure I'll use the kind bars as a snack when I'm seriously craving something. I'm going to the store today, so I'll pick up some rice crackers and hummus and carrots. I'm not going to be juicing much during the next 30 days. Having two shakes a day plus a full 64 oz of water is a lot of drinking, I'm not sure I could drink much more!
My room is looking better, so is the kitchen. I'm going to try to keep up the cleaning and decluttering.
Oh no! I've gained!
I worked out 10 minutes with the riser on the WiiFit (step aerobics) and then 20 minutes without. My legs are jello. I don't think I'll be getting on the elliptical till this becomes less of a workout challenge. Or till I need to mix things up a bit.
