Day 55/ Day 5 of 30

According to my phone it is snowing, but it's not light enough out for me to see yet. Hopefully it will be real snow and not more ice. It looks very pretty on my phone though (I've got one of those backgrounds that change with the weather and such)

I don't feel like working out this morning, blah! I just want to crawl back under the covers. But DH is working from home today, so if I'm going to work out I need to go do it now.

Worked out on the WiiFit, but only for 20 minutes. Did a little over 500 steps on the riser and then my calves were screaming at me so I took it off. Total of 2,000 steps. I think I'll work out again in the afternoon, after my friend leaves (if she comes over in this weather) for at least 10 more minutes.

emoticon I did it again yesterday, ate too much. At least it was things like pears and peanuts and rice crackers with hummus. Today I'll do better, I'll have an extra large salad so I can munch on it all afternoon. I'll make it with dried cranberries, spinach, pecans and cutie oranges. Then a shake for dinner so I'm not tempted to munch on stuff. I'm going to do what I saw one Mom do for her kids. She used a bowl shaped gladware to put the kids snacks for the day in and put their names on it. They could eat the snacks any time they wanted to, but once they were gone, that was it, no more snacks. I'll do that for me, and for the girls. I'm also going to make some iced tea with lemon (no sugar) to drink. Having something to drink with a flavor sometimes stops me from being hungry. Or hot mint tea, that always works. And I bought some Big Red gum too. Hopefully this will work. All these things together, surely will work. Oh! And I'll track everything I eat!

    I like the snack bowl idea too. I am thinking I could fill it with 400 calories of snacks. I am good at delaying eating. It is the stopping once I start where I severely struggle!
    I am also a volume eater so a small applecand 3-100 calorie bags of microwave popcorn, 5 large stalks of celery and 4 tbs lite blue cheese dressing and stuff like that would work for me. 500 calorie brunch + 500 calorie dinner + the 400 calorie snacks would be very filling and doable. I just have to know I can have the snacks. Everytime I try to deprive myself of snack food I get very anxious feeling.
