I'm Tryin', Guys...

Thursday, February 26, 2015

I know I haven't been on here much lately, and I've missed loads. You've all been very welcoming, but it's hard to be gone (for even a short while) and jump back in all "YEAHHH!".

My eating is still not where I'd like it to be, though I've had many a delicious salad lately! I've been walking a LOT, which is good, and parking far away everywhere to get my steps in (I'm hitting over 10, 000 just walking at work too).

Life doesn't let you take a time out- I don't remember being busier than I have lately. Multiple choir concerts, impromptu visits from my landlord, report cards, parent/teacher conferences (both for school and for the kiddo), jewelry parties, birthday parties, b*tch-session dinners with friends and coworkers, lesson planning, along with the hubby feeling super stressed with work, darling daughter starting to go through puberty (ask me later about the late night chocolate orange fiasco)...ack!

I'm not trying to make excuses- just let you know. Because I want you to know that the more I'm on here, the better I feel. The more inspired I feel. And when I'm not...You're all sorely missed. I need to be on here more. And I need just two more hours in a day. lol. A 26 hour day would be QUITE awesome right now.

Did I mention Burpees? I did those for the first time the other day. That's probably why I feel like I'm going to die. lol. Even the 5 year olds (we did them in Gym) looked like "Fuuuu****k!" emoticon

THAT was awesome. I was all proud I could hang with 5 year olds. 'Cause I'm cool like that. emoticon

I miss you guys. I'll try to be more present. Thanks for being here, and being SO good at being...here.

it is a journey and it is about making small changes that eventually become part of your everyday routine. I have been losing weight slowly over last four years, but it is the first time I have ever kept weight off for a significant amount of time.

I think we all can relate to not enough hours in the day...........I know I can.
But, I think instead of adding more hours to a day, I wish I was really wealthy and then I could hire someone to do some of my busy work, like laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc. That should free up my days a bit. emoticon When I dream, I dream big. Come on lottery win!!

In other words, you are missed but I totally understand.

    Have a Happy! emoticon

I wish I had 26 hours, too! Or more! Really, it's hard to get everything done. And when you're as busy as you've been, it's sort of dangerous to sit down for a Spark session, because you twenty-minute intention can quickly turn into two hours, and other responsibilities can go by the wayside! I mean, since I started in the community here, the dust level in my house has become rather...um...SCARY! I've never been the world's best housekeeper, but it's getting ridiculous. So I need to be here LESS, but SP just too fun to resist.

I love it when you're here, Sparky, but just as your other friends have noted, you have to take care of yourself first. So just remember that whenever you can be here, we are SO HAPPY, but we are also so happy if you are enjoying your life away from the computer as well!

Ah sweetness, I love when you're here.. but certainly understand when life gets in the way. That's great that you're getting so much walking in... the food part will come. I'm still struggling with that myself. I wonder why my weight isn't coming off and then I look at what I eat in a day - duh! Ah well.

Can't wait to hear about Em.... only b/c I'm a bit ahead of you & I'm looking forward to hearing your stories too!!! I still think she's going to be a breeze though - not sure why, but it could have something to do with her awesome momma.

Anyway, I'm glad you're back. I really do miss you when you're gone :)

Sparky, every single thing you do is helping you. You don't need the whole run down of advice on do this, do that, etc. You know, we all know in our hearts and minds what it will take for us to make positive changes. Clearly you are busy in life and isn't that wonderful. I can't wait to be busier again, to be IN LIFE again. We can't win can we? it is either to much of one thing or to little of another. We don't mean to put pressure on you Sparky, about being here. We love you and we miss you and like all great friends, we worry about you when we notice a big change in communications. So don't feel bad, just tell us to SHAKE IT OFF...haha. Send us a quick image of you sticking your tongue out...hahaha. Just don't be a stranger and just take the most amazing care of you!
