A Helping hand.

Saturday, March 07, 2015

There are all kinds of reasons for interrupting a workout, but this one takes the cake. Less than a fifth of a mile into my run, I see a deer's headil sticking out of a snow bank. I think it must have been hit by a plow. When I got closer I saw that it had run downhill and as it came out of the woods, got buried up to its ears in snow.I dug it out. It was alive but its legs were frozen and it could not stand. I spent an hour getting it mobil again and keeping it from causing an accident

Found out about your video from your comment on my friend Krizsta's page, and I'm so glad I did, because I really enjoyed seeing this, which I shared with my daughter, who was equally impressed. What a kindness you did today, to save the deer from being frozen or hit by a car! And maybe I'm wrong, but it seems as if the deer took a real liking to you and didn't want you to go away. Maybe that's partly why she was taking so long to jump back to safety. Thanks for doing this good deed, and thanks for posting this video.

You rock!! Great thing you did!! That is an incredible lot of snow you have gotten! Will flooding be a concern now when it finally gets around to melting?
    Nice video!

You saved a life today - what a nice thing to do!
I understand you could not leave the deer there, in the snow or standing paralyzed on the road.
