issues

its not easy and i won't quit. But its getting harder and harder for me to follow "the plan" i eat more than i should. i don't exercise as often. i'm even drinking less water. i don't want to stop or lose progress but i don't understand why my mind can't cooperate or is it my body?! i don't know ....my motivation flickers but giving up doesn't cross my mind. i guess i just give myself setbacks. emoticon i'm tired of it. we all have the same 24 hours and we all have life issues to deal with but why can't i just FOCUS! This is my rant for the day. looking for happy days ahead!

    I believe we all go through this from time to time. To begin with, take a moment to applaud yourself for recognizing it! Then remember why you started this journey. Are those reasons still true? Then take some time to focus on them and reinspire yourself to find the same enthusiasm you had when you began. Remember the saying, this isn't a sprint, or even a marathon, this is a new lifestyle!

    When I find it hard to follow "the plan" for eat and exercise, I do these things.

    First, I stop and remember how I felt the day before I started. My knees hurt and I easily got out of breath and I didn't feel good or healthy.

    Second, I go and enthusatically get a glass of water and then take a moment to celebrate that healthy choice.

    Third Think about your next healthy choice. Doesn't matter what healthy choice it is. What healthy choice will you choose. Walk, water, track, plan, exercise. Just pick the easiest one for now. That is your plan. Celebrate making just that small decision.

    Being enthusiastic and celebrating those small victories is what keeps my motivation and me going. We need to become our own cheerleader on this journey. It drives the fear away and breaks the journey down into tiny pieces so that it doesn't feel overwhelming.
