Trying to keep up!

Friday, May 08, 2015

What a week it has been! The day before coming off of my maternity leave, we found out that my son has Autism for sure. It wasn't a shock, but it is an emotional experience all the same. Then I went back to work and instead of having to work my normal 20 hours a week, I had to work a full 40 hour week, with two kids under two at home and a husband who trying to do well on his finals for his online classes. My husband and I also decided I would leave my job at the end of the month to be home with Drake and hopefully help him develop thr skills he needs to work on. This is good and bad news because we are going to be broker than broke, but overall probably the right decision, and I will likely go back to work once the kids are in school. In a week, my house has turned into a giant mess and my eating has been not so great. I am trying to stay on track, but it has been very challenging, and I am only human. Next week, I go back to my three days a week, which will aleviate some of the stresses, and I am hoping will help with the food issues, but certainly when I am done with work, I will be able to get back on track quickly. For now, I will cut myself some slack.

Sounds like you've had a stressful week. You are right to cut yourself a little slack.

You surely have a lot on your plate, but you also seem to have a good handle on it. You are amazing. 👏
