(I'm on the right)

This weekend I felt so uncomfortable in my own skin. I have been feeling that way, lately, ever since getting depressed after I injured myself in July, and being unable to run...(that weight came on so quick, too, that's what a steady diet of popcorn and wine will do to a body) and it's affecting my self esteem...my quality time with loved ones...my interactions...I'm so focused on it. I'm going to journal on this and blog about it...but you know what I see when I look closer at this picture? I see a confident, strong, woman...I see sisters...I see love...and THAT should be the focus, NOT my waistline. You know, that could make a good challenge...posting a picture of ourselves we aren't happy with, but looking CLOSER.

(NOTE: This was written a few weeks ago, but I didn't get a chance to post it here. I'm happy to say that I'm feeling more comfortable in my skin, and even started RUNNING this week! Before is a picture a few wks ago. No shame, baby! Love those bodies!)

It's easy to get caught up in the frustrations of gaining back weight after working so long and hard to get it off, but you have the right attitude. Appreciate & love yourself as you are right now and then love yourself up by making healthy choices. You are such an inspiration to me and I hope we can support each other again as we work on reintegrating healthy choices into our life.

Amen to that! We have to love ourselves no matter what. Congratulations on getting back to what you feel best doing though! Hug

You're absolutely right! We should seize the moments and enjoy the love in our relationships at any size. Time passes quickly and what it leaves on our minds is memories of people and bonding and fun and happiness. Those are the things we remember, not the number on the scale.
