In 2011 I was down from 264 lbs to 198 lbs on my way 158lbs. In late 2010 I had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Due to poor medical advice I was rapidly accelerated through almost every medication and insulin there is for diabetes. I was constantly sick from these medications and never wanted to get out of bed and if I did I couldn't get past the bathroom. The eating plan I was given had me rapidly gaining weight which just made the diabetes worse. In March 2015 I was back to 260 lbs. I went to see a private nutrition councillor who specializes in working with diabetics. A lot of things she said contradicted the things the doctors and clinic had been trying to have me do. We adjusted my medication so I am not fighting constant diarrhea and vomiting. We are experimenting with my food now. While I still have large blood sugar fluxuations the majority of my numbers are better. I am back to Spark People June 1, 2015 as I found tracking in the past really helped me see where I was going right and wrong and kept me motivated. The first 2 weeks has rewarded me with a nice 8 lb weight loss and only 3 days out of 14 with blood sugar lows. Feels good to be back.
