This is one of my favorite songs right now. It also does a great job at motivating me to workout. Looking back at my previous posts of success, music was such a huge part of my life and my weight loss. Over the past 4 years, I've lost that but I am getting it back. My escape has been sugar, whether its from fast food or refined cards (cupcakes, muffins, scones, bagels, bread). I now realize that I need a new escape and I've chosen for it to be motivating music and a walk/jog around the neighborhood. To go around my neighborhood fully, it takes about 20-25 mins. I feel like this is a great start.
I'm starting this new journey at 179. I had a baby 4 months ago, and lost 22 lbs right away. This was pretty encouraging since I only gained 37 lbs total but it's been so hard for me to get rid of the last 15 lbs. I decided to change my eating habits yesterday and I already found a 3 lb weightloss. Guess no carbs at night and not stuffing my fast with refined carbs works. I've also increased my water intake. My three rules for the rest of the month are:
1) No fast food
2) No refined carbs, especially at night
3) Workout (walk, elliptical, home workout video) 25 mins a day
I feel confident that I will complete these and see great progress. So here's to a new start to getting and STAYING healthy!
