Day 173/Before Picture

Monday, June 22, 2015

emoticon I dislike before pictures, but here we go!

Had to have my daughter take the picture, so it's rather blurry, but hey, it works!

Before Measurement:
Waist: 50
Hips: 52
Rt thigh: 28.5 52
Rt upper Arm: 16
Neck: 16.5

emoticon I worked out last night, yay! 35 minutes on the WiiFit. Pretty tame, I suppose, but I am one out of shape woman and it wore me out! I ached when I went to bed last night, which is probably why I forgot to put up the dog. He's happy because he got to sleep on his favorite spot on the couch last night, lol. So, I'm about to head upstairs and work out for another 30 minutes. Then I'll hopefully work out at noon (that one is optional) and again after dinner (not optional).

emoticon I've got a pretty good plan for how I'm going to slowly make my work out harder as I work out more. I had gotten to where I was doing 15 minutes of my workout video, would get too tired so I'd do the WiiFit for 20 minutes and then finish the next 5 minutes of the video. My plan is to slowly work up how much of the video I can do at one time. I've also got to work in some strength training. Will browse the SP video's till I find some I like :)

emoticon Found out that my nephew had NOTHING for his new son that was just born. Nothing, not even a carseat to take him home in. My neice had to go buy a seat/stroller for him. I was going to send money, but that would get blown on something else. I'd like to buy him diapers or something, but DH is dead against it. Does not want to enable my nephew or have him think we'll always bail him out. I understand, but he is my favorite nephew that I helped raise! It's so hard to be so far away from him and not be able to go charging in to the rescue. But he's always had someone do that, so I guess that is what created the problem now.

**UPDATE**
Worked out for 17 minutes this morning before my calves got too bad. I'll work out for at LEAST 20 more minutes later today.

**EOD**
Dinner was awful, the roast had so much fat on it that it ruined the whole thing. Was so greasy... yuck. I got so nauseated I couldn't do anything but lay down. So I didn't get to work out last night. The nausea lasted for the rest of the time I was awake.

nice job....keep up the gradual increases and you'll see a difference each day!

Re you nephew...I would think sending things like diapers or wipes would be very helpful without giving any opportunity to divert funds to less mundane things! Amazon is wonderful for that type of present. I don't know how organized your nephew or mom is...but they could set up a "wish list" for the baby...as long as they keep it up to date then the diaper sizes are never a question. I have a friend who has twins who did this and it worked well. Our circle of friends could send stuff without having to bother the tired momma about what diaper sizes etc---made for some nice surpises for her too. :)

You are doing wonderful, keep up the good work. Good luck with what ever you decide to do to show your nephew you are there. He will find his own way.
