Rainy, rainy... there is a lake in my backyard, it must have rained all night!
Last night we did an experiment to see if possibly a liquid diet would work for getting rid of my pain and nausea I've been getting when eating due to my gallbladder. It worked. I was only a little bloated feeling and a tiny bit nauseated. So it looks like a liquid diet is the way to go till my gallbladder comes out. Don't know if I CAN do that. It seems impossibly hard. But I know people do it. I'm at least going to try because I'm so tired of being nauseated. The gallbladder pain worsens when I eat solid food, and it hurts enough on its own. No, I've not had a full blown gallbladder attack, so I know it could be worse. I'm just happy it's not that bad. I pray that it doesn't worsen and I make it to surgery day without an ER visit!
One good side effect of the liquid diet is that I should lose more weight! I'm going to have a shake for breakfast, and the other meals depend on how I feel. If it is hot and yucky I'll have another shake, if it is cool enough (like it has been) I'll have some broth. The shakes, even with all the extras I put in it, is only about 300 calories. So even if I have three a day, that is only 900 calories. I'll drink lots of water to help me feel full and the only other thing I'll have that has calories is my coffee and the lemon I put in my unsweet tea.
I'm only going on the liquid diet because of my gallbladder. I do NOT recommend a liquids only diet as a way of losing weight.
I lost 2 more pounds (before time of month hit and now I'm retaining water)!!! It's been so hard for me to lose any weight, I'm so happy it is now starting to come off! Half a year of counting the days and the pounds and it finally starts happening! I'm excited as can be. Especially when I saw those first two pounds off. I couldn't believe it. My goal had been to lose one pound and I wasn't really expecting it to come off either because I've been having such a hard time, but BAM! 2 pounds! HooRah! I'm really hoping I can keep up the momentum even with my gallbladder surgery next week.
