How I lost my weight, in general.

I got a sparkmail email asking me about my weight loss and I figured, hey, I should post what I emailed her. Please don't hesitate to email me with questions if you have them just because I put this here. I could write a book about my lifestyle revamp.

I lost most of my pounds in 2003-2004. I was jumpstarted by some horrible fat pictures and a blessing in disguise, a real bad case of food poisoning(Ironically from subway). I was only sick for three days but it helped me to reset my food intake (since I basically ate nothing because I was so sick, and then after could only have soup and crackers and other bland things). My biggest hurdle was that I was eating out far too much and taking in too many calories. Once I got sick I was determined not to go back to overeating. I used Slim Fast for breakfast (only for a year), drank a lot of water, got 5 fruits and veggies in a day and everything else was made at home by me, no more take out. Eating healthy helped me knock the first 20 pounds off in about 1.5 months. Obviously I was eating a lot more calories before that, I just never saw it until those photos. After that, I started moderate exercise. I lost the rest within 5 months. I'm now starting to count cals again because I think I can have a nicer body. I run or walk at least 3 times a week and I aim to burn 1000 cals a week, a 1 hour walk generally burns 250 calories give or take so doing that 4x a week would help anyone who is able to walk, believe it or not.
I have chinese food or taco bell once every other week or so, but everything else I ingest is from a natural food store, and 85% is low-to-zero on chemical processing and no high fructose corn syrup (that is one ingredient that one might want to avoid if possible- but its in everything from regular stores, even bread, even things marked "natural") or partially hydrogenated oils, with the exception of yogurt (natural yogurt sucks; besides, dannon has 60 calorie yogurts now) and hostess 100 cal packs they just came out with... im a sucker for choco cream cupcakes.
So as of today, I have only been back on for 10 days and I weighed yesterday and had lost 2 pounds. I put in a lot of gym and roadwork too and I feel a lot better for it. If you ever need tips or support please feel free to message me!
