Saturday and I tried to sleep in, but my dog wouldn't let me.
My oldest DD is turning nine. NINE! Oh my goodness where does the time go? She wants a Minecraft birthday, which of course is not sold in stores, you have to make it, which leaves me at a loss. I don't have a color printer, so most of the stuff to print would not look good. We aren't having a huge party, just a family get-together. I'm done with big parties. They cause too much stress.
I'm still at 253, so it would seem that those two pounds are going to stay off. Actually I'm 0.6 pounds lighter today. My eating has drastically changed. Where I was eating pasta I'm now eating veggies. Where I was eating sweets I'm eating jelly on toast. Where I was mindlessly munching all day I'm now keeping a Kind bar or a Juice Plus bar constantly handy to munch on and I only eat a bite or two at a time. The biggest difference is the eating so many veggies now. I love it. I want to get some big fat carrots to use in the spiral cutter too. Put some carrots in with my zoodles. I'm hoping I can keep this ups so that I can lose the weight and be a healthier me. The healthier me is what is important, the weight loss is an awesome side effect.
DH and I are going to start working on the Garage and getting the extra items out of our house, decluttering. We have a lot of big stuff that needs to be thrown away and no idea where to take it, our garbage service supposedly takes big stuff twice a year, but I've yet to hear/see even one. The plan is to declutter the whole house, but the main goal is to get the garage clean so we can turn half of it into a workout area. Then we will get a treadmill and recumbent bike and set up a weights area. It will be awesome to not have to worry about waking anyone up. Plus I've been really wanting the bike and treadmill. I've got an elliptical, but the gait is all wrong for me and hurts my knees.
I read someone's blog where they said if you haven't used it in a year, throw it away. I think I'm going to go with that. There are some exceptions. For example I've not been to a funeral in a year (Praise God) but I'm going to keep my black skirt and matching jacket for just in case so I don't have to run out and buy something. I've not used my jewelry making stuff in like 3 years, but it is something I enjoy so I'll keep the stuff in case I want to get into it again. Wow, I guess I could make exceptions to keep everything. I need to declutter and organize, so I'm going to get rid of as much as I can. I don't want to end up buried in the stuff I couldn't bring myself to part with. For example I have like 6 gym bags. I don't go to a gym any more. But I still have the bags for just in case. *sigh* This is going to be harder than I thought!
