It's been a while.....

Saturday, July 25, 2015

Not sure what I do with all my time but when you stop and make the conscious decision to say - today is MY day and I will do something just for me - it gets you thinking. My life tends to be focused on my elderly Mom (who lives with me) as her health is deteriorating these last few months. Although she has just turned 84 and we all know that we don't last forever - it is still sad to see this happening before my eyes. I try very hard to keep her spirits up and we take it day by day. emoticon

Then the other big part of my life is my job! Stressful as it is at times I need to stay ahead of it and not let it get me down. I just find it difficult finding time for myself and it is taking a toll on my own health. So, today I am going to take a walk all by myself in the beautiful Stanley Park and just breath in nature and restore some balance in my life. It has been such a hot dry long summer but yesterday Mother Nature teased us with a little (very little!) bit of rain! The forecast is for a bit more tomorrow and we will take every drop we can get.

Hoping you all have an enjoyable weekend!

So glad that Mother Nature squeezed out a little rain over your area. We were hit pretty hard with a deluge yesterday, now we're back to Mother Nature just teasing us with spurts here and there. My garden sure liked it, though!

Finding balance while juggling the stresses of life, jobs, family, etc. can be so tough. Just try to take it easy on yourself, cut yourself some slack and know that you don't have to do it all, all the time. It's OK to take those walks and rejuvenate your spirit. :-)

    Hugs to you my friend!
