Today's weight is: 254.0 YIKES! I gained 2 pounds! But it's probably water weight, it is my time of month
Did okay on work out yesterday. I need to remember my motivation so I will work out with more gusto. On Extreme Weight Loss they were talking about muscle to fat ratios and how you need to strength train to not lose muscle. Then yesterday on 60 Day Summer Challenge Team, the challenge was on strength training. I need to get my butt in gear and do some strength training! I don't want to lose what little muscle I have, in fact I want to gain muscle. I only did 10 minutes of my work out video but I did a full 30 on the WiiFit. Today I will do at least 15 of the video and 30 on the WiiFit. Then I will come downstairs and do a yoga video with my kiddos and then a strength training video!!
I didn't do so good on food yesterday. I ate some chips. Yes I did. With sour cream. Chips are never okay to eat, they are just empty calories. I'd love to get the chips out of the house so they are not a temptation. Then we had lettuce wraps for dinner, healthy right? But I ate too much. And anything you eat too much of is not good. *sigh* When will I learn? Today that's when. I'm going to use my nutrition tracker and I'm going to use correct portion control. I'm going to go back and use a trick I learned in Basic Training: take things one meal at a time. In Basic it was 'I just have to make it till lunch', now it will be 'I just have to make it through lunch'. One meal at a time, I can do it. I'm still going to plan ahead and use the nutrition tracker, that won't change. But I will use portion control and be mindful of what I eat.
I was telling someone today about my favorite shake, Source of Life Energy Shake. I think I'm going to go back to using it for breakfast. It is an awesome shake with more nutrients than any shake I know of. It has it's own unique flavor the you either love or hate (creamy granola). But I grew up with Mom eating health foods, so I'm used to those kinds of flavors. I'm tired of the chocolate Juice Plus+ shake, so I'll switch things up for a bit :) After work out this will be my meal (breakfast or lunch, whichever)
The dog peed on the bed last night, on DH's side of the bed. So DH slept upstairs, so I can't go work out till he gets up. I offered to get up and remake the bed, but he didn't want to. And he's taking forever to get up. I may go wake him up, I need to work out! The later I start the longer it takes to get things done, the more likely I am to not do part of my routine.
I had ordered a mini spiral vegetable cutter, thinking it could do smaller veggies (like carrots). Nope. So I gave it to my friend yesterday and she was so excited to go home and try it. One thing I know I love about it is that I know if I use it for one of my meals, I won't go over my calories for that day
