Day 222

emoticon 249.8 Oh my goodness that is a little over a pound gone and back to where I started last week! This week I'm going to keep it off! emoticon

emoticon Today is a more intense workout day. I'm going to alternate intense workout days with a little lighter workout days - so that I'll still be able to walk! My hips, oh my goodness! I can really feel what an intense workout it was in my hips and thighs. I'm walking like an old lady, lol. But it is good to feel like I really gave a workout my all. Yesterday I went into my workout thinking I would do as much as the day before, but my body quickly told me that I needed an easy day for my aching muscles. I'm learning to listen to my body when it says things like that. I didn't work out this morning yet, I slept past my alarm, so it's like 0900 now, I'm gonna wait till 10, which is when I usually start to get really hungry, and work out then. Hopefully I'll be more awake by then!

I have to say, I'm really nervous about my workout today, what if I can't do as much as I did? But I'm trying to be confident, I can do this!

DH's back is still really not doing good. He's well enough to drive, so he can go to work, but as for cleaning up around the house? No lifting, so that is a no go. We were supposed to clean the garage this weekend, but he could not, so I did not. Cleaning the whole thing in one go would be exhausting any way. I've got a routine that I think will work. As Flylady says, you can do anything for 15 minutes.

Wake up, coffee and Spark
Workout (no time limit, however long it takes me)
15 minutes - cleaning girls rooms upstairs
15 minute break (take meds, drink coffee)
15 minutes cleaning garage
shower

I'm trying to come up with a consistent routine that I can stick to. I'm doing great now, I've been in a great mood and feeling good, but I need to have a routine in place for when my mood is down and I don't feel like it.

emoticon I'll admit it, I was doing really great until last night, I was hungry and I was out of snack and ideas. And there was popcorn. So I gave in and had popcorn. And I discovered that I really don't like the prepackaged, fake butter, microwave stuff. The fake butter stuck to my tongue and just felt yucky. I'll take air popped, lightly salted from now on. It's amazing the things we eat that when you really sit and taste it, we don't really like.

Do not fear the workouts. I do them at my own level. Whenever I do an aerobic activity, I slow down when I need to. I know that it is better to go at a slower level than not to exercise at all. Hope your hubby feels better soon.

If you have a Costco nearby you need to try Skinny Pop Popcorn. Awesome stuff and diet friendly. No gross toppings. Best wishes!
