I'm loving this Beck re-boot and meeting all of you great Beck Trekkers!
Here's my take on the tasks from 1-7:
1. Create Your Advantage Response Cards
I wrote down my reasons on 3x5 and put them on a ring. Half were health reasons and half personal reasons. Now to remember to read them twice a day.
2. Pick Two Reasonable Diets
I chose calorie counting with the Glycemic-Index Diet for food choices.
3. Eat Sitting Down
I already do this so will continue on with this one.
4. Give yourself credit
Will make an effort to give myself credit for doing things right and half credit for trying. Will work on catching the negative thoughts and changing them.
5. Eat Slowly and Mindfully
This is one of the main things that I am working on. At the beginning of the year I was counting bites using an athletic counter to help me slow down my eating. I have gotten it back out and hopefully it will help me.
6.Get A Diet Support Coach/Buddy
I asked my sister to be my buddy.
7. Arrange Your Environment
Most of the junk food is contained in hubby's drawer so I don't see it. The main things that I am working on is to evaluate my food containers to see if I have what I need to make meal prep easier. I am also re-vamping the arrangement in my fridge and deep freezer. I've watched a few you tube videos that have been helpful.
Okay that about covers that for me. I'm loving this Beck re-boot and can already see a shift in my thinking, as I am more aware of what I am doing and what I am thinking. No more automatic pilot for me.
