A new week, a new chance, a new beginning! (yes I know the week officially started yesterday, but I was feeling icky yesterday) Time to toss those foods I should not eat and get back on track! I love sweet potato casserole, but that is so much sugar I shudder to think of it! So in the bin it goes! No, "just one more serving"; it is gone!
Been looking at Diabetes.org for help with what I can eat. I'm pretty sure strawberries smothered in chocolate is not on there. Yes I had some, but like I said, today is a new day, a new start and a new chance to get it right. I see what I should be eating, I still have questions about some foods, that I'll have to look up later (are green beans a starch or non-starchy veggie or does it go with like regular beans?) but I have great resources I have found to work with. I can eat healthy and love it if I just try! Expand my veggie horizon! :P Gonna start putting in all into the nutrition tracker so that I can make sure I get enough of everything I'm supposed to be getting, and so that I don't go over my calories.
About to go work out, I am done with step aerobics (Wiifit, so short step) my calves are telling me to do something else, so I will listen. Seriously my legs hurt so bad last time I did them (Saturday) that I could not finish the work out. So Ellen Barrett and The Studio series to the rescue! I just hope I can do more of it than I could last time. I'm going to stick with it and if I can't do something, or need a break, I will just march in place till I can jump back in!
I FINALLY got DH his birthday and Christmas gifts! I got him a mini fridge for his office and a dehydrator and a gastronomy kit. He's so hard to shop for!! Bought some things for the girls as well... spent too much and need to save the rest for my medical needs. But I did enjoy getting them. I love buying things for other people! I got the girls a soap making kit so they can make gifts for other people, can't wait!
