Welp, November made a speedy exit!
I am one week into a $25 DietBet challenge to lose 4% of my body weight (6 lbs) in 4 weeks. I've set my unofficial weigh-in days to Monday 1.) to keep myself in check over the weekends (when I'm most likely to do more damage diet-wise) and 2.) because the bet started on a Monday *shrugs* lol.
Anyway, I weighed in today & have already lost 5.4 lbs (yay!).
Today was Week 3, Day 2 of my 12 week half marathon training plan & I cruised through 7 treadmill miles. I SO miss the long summer days when I could run outside past 8 pm & still catch the sunset. The fact that the daylight is all gone before the clock even strikes 6pm really limits my evening running options. Despite this, I've been adhering to the plan as closely as possible & am loving the progress I am seeing. This plan is the most aggressive that I've followed, allowing only one rest day per week. I'm still learning to utilize those rest days strictly for rest & not just an opportunity to exhaust myself in some physical activity other than running.
So far I have not been doing any crosstraining, which has me a little worried about losing my strength gains. I plan to try to get back into it tomorrow; I think the WOD is snatches & rowing. I'll update tomorrow.
