I'm going to kick it this morning!
I finally figured out a way that I can get my morning steps in and finally do all of the workout video I've been trying to do more and more of: take walking breaks during the video. Hit the pause button, and walk, march in place, do 10 minutes of step aerobics on the Wiifit, just don't stop moving. And when I've caught my breath, get right back to doing the workout DVD. Repeat. The video only gets me about 600 steps because you are constantly using your arms but not in a way that would count as a step on my Fitbit. So the walking/Wiifit helps me get those steps in and cool down enough to keep going. I did it a little bit yesterday, total of 40 minutes, and it worked out great. Now to step it up a notch and see if I can't get 60 minutes!
I've got my meals planned out for today, and lots of veggies to munch. I am going to try roasted cauliflower today, I think. I'm going to go grocery shopping tomorrow and my basket is going to look so different from my usual! A small bag of frozen broccoli usually lasts me a day (my DD eats a huge helping of it for lunch), a can of asparagus (yes I drain and rinse it) 1 day as well as I have 1/2 for lunch and 1/2 for dinner. I need to get some more colorful veggies on my plate, I'm mostly eating green. So I'm going to pick up some squash and zucchini as well as more bell peppers and few frozen stir fry mixes. I'm going to try my hand at stir fry again, but with brown rice. We use a medium grain brown rice which is super healthy for you. I'm not going to buy any sweets or chips or snacks other than veggies like grape tomatoes. DH wants to try some of the veggies we've never tried before like parsnips. Should be fun!

Whew! I only got 53 minutes, and then the remote for the xbox (which I use for DVD's) stopped working. I had paused it to get the kids to quiet down and the battery went dead and I could not turn it back on! We only have one remote, I think it is time to get a 2nd one!
But I did a total of 30 minutes on the Wiifit step aerobics and 23 minutes of the DVD, I think I did great! I wish I could have worked out the rest of that 10 minute block to get 60 minutes, but tomorrow is a new day! Or maybe I'll finish that workout later today!
