Davina - UK TV presenter - quirky, funny, caring, realistic - a bit of an icon and very popular when 'Davina - The Box Set' (2005) was given to me by my then 26 year old daughter.
The Box Set contains 2 DVDs - Power of 3 and My Three 30 Minute Workouts. Both routines are based around intervals and have sections which cover the whole body. You can select, play through or mix and match. Davina has two trainers - one female, one male - to talk her and the viewer through the moves.
Now, back in the day, I used the 'Power of 3' DVD quite a bit but I hadn't tried the Three Thirty Minute one. So, this is the one I put in the laptop this morning. I selected 'Core Stability', thinking that my 10 years older and less fit bod (NB: Currently.... It's a work in progress!) could cope best with it.
OK...First move -Full plank moving into side plank. Hmmmm....???
Back to the menu.
Remaining choices - 'Pump' and 'Cardio Box'.
Selected 'Pump' and found my lightest weights. Well, it is a thorough workout for 30 mins; moves quickly through the intervals to cover a full range of movements, including a short spell of more manageable floor work. Clear tuition throughout but you get straight into it.
I half-jacked the star jumps and went easy on the lunges; stuck through it to the end but, really, I think it is a follow-on DVD for those who are already in pretty good shape. I would have been better off working my fitness up through Power of 3 first.
Anyway, my step count has made a healthy start and as I'm desk-bound for the rest of today, that's not a bad thing.
Let's see what tomorrow will bring and, Yes, the rebounder IS staying indoors now.
