How do you 'Pre Game'?

Last Sunday my WW leader asked us how we did for the holidays and what kind of strategies we used. When she came to me, I told her that I 'pre gamed'. That I filled up on my vegetables before going to the families, drank my water on the way there, so by the time I got there I wasn't going to over eat because I was *hangry*. It started me thinking though, how else and during other events, could I do this 'pre gaming' business?
As my husband and I get ready to take advange of my last day of vacation (with the kids in school.. YIPPIE!), we decided we're going out for the day. Dave and busters first, then the see StarWars. Unfortunately, This falls right around lunch time for me, which is hard, because this is typically when my hangry strikes.
I decided maybe one way to help would be to portion out some the light cape cod popcorn, that is 4 points for 3 cups. Put it in mah purse. String cheese followed (2 points), with a WW brownie.. that is.. so VERY delicious (also 2 points). I probably will not eat all of this, but I COULD and if I did, I wouldn't be beating myself up over it. Popcorn satisfies the craving when you're at the movies, and the brownie for the normal treats that follow.
I am going to eat some veggies and bring my water always, so that I'll be better prepared. I hope it is enough.
How do you guys handle things like the movies? How do you 'pre game' to places that you know have trigger foods when it's around the time that you normal eat?
