Back to the gym today

I did it, I made it to the gym today. Yay for me!

Since the weather has not been favorable for running outside, and as my day yesterday was hijacked by all kids of little errands and jobs, I started my time at the gym on the treadmill. 2.5 miles run and done. I still wish I could do this at home with my favorite show on the TV, it would make the whole process less boring LOL.

Then I moved on to weights, doing the exercises the trainer gave me on Thursday. He's got me using the TRX for some body weight exercises. Someone had tossed the straps up on top of the machine and I'm short, so I struggled to get them down so I could use them. One of them fell on my face and now I've got a bit of a fat lip, oops! :) That's OK, I'll survive LOL.

I also discovered that some of the muscles I thought weren't sore any more, are very much sore when used for these exercises. Ouch! :)

So now, time to shower and get on with the day. Maybe a trip to the bookstore for some good reading material? I haven't bought a new book in a while...

    Well done for getting back there. I'm going to rake my music with me to relieve the boredom. My tummy muscles are sit sore after my first real gym visit. It hurts to cough!
