My "uh oh" moment

Thursday, January 21, 2016

It's been awhile since my last post, so taking a moment to have some coffee & fill my go go reservoir. Feeling a little sore in the joints. Yes, arthritis is acting up today. That's ok because Jessica and I are gonna bust those joints loose in a bit. Now, the moment we've been waiting for, My Uh Oh Moment! Yesterday while driving & running errands I got hungry. Food was calling...screaming my name. My body was starting to cuss at me because breakfast was so long ago before. So anyhow, I had another place to go to before I could get home for lunch, well, I couldn't wait that long. It would be another 2 hrs. My stomach was screaming "I'M HUNGRY!" So off the highway I go, I'm thinking a little coffee for a pick-me-up & a bento box from Starbucks. There's no parking. So I drove around & found a place to park, oh heavens to mergatroid, the only spot is in front of In & Out Burgers. The smell was overwhelmingly wonderful. I stopped eating fast food years ago because it upset my stomach. But the smell! And I was so hungry! And soooo tempting! I stuck my nose in the air, took a deep breath and walked across the parking lot to Starbucks, got a Grande skinny cinnamon latte, no whip, & a protein bento box = 490 calories. My "uh oh" moment turned victorious. I ended up going to where I planned to go & are healthy. Chalk 1 up for me and this glorious win. Hope you can have a positive outcome to an "uh oh" moment. It made me very proud I had the willpower to do what I started out to do, get a healthy on-the-road meal. Yesterday's experience is today's goal on the realistic resolution challenge. I think I knocked that out of the ballpark with yesterday's win. Today is a home day. All I have to do is go to the bank. Have a great day everyone.
