Two forward, one back

My New Year's momentum experienced a small setback at yesterday's weigh-in with a 3/4 # gain. Would like to blame the high sodium dinner of the night before, but in reality took several liberties with my food program during the week and it caught up with me. Have one more weigh-in in January and my personal goal for the month is still in reach. Since Christmas have been concentrating on more whole foods, cooked from scratch, less processed and better choices on those occasions I'm eating out. I have actually felt "nourished" and hope to continue, but perhaps realize that I may be eating too much of a good thing. Portion control necessary even when eating healthy.

    I weigh & measure my food when I am home, or when I pack my lunch for work. It helps.
