Determined To Lose 15 Pounds By June!

I have found that I am most motivated when I have some kind of challenge to shoot for.

Well, I really have a goal to lose 15 pounds by June 23rd. That is the date of my next doctor appointment. I am currently taking statins for high cholesterol, but my doctor and I discussed a strategy before I even started. I was dead-set against taking the cholesterol medication because I thought the side-effects were pretty scary. I wasn't being hard to deal with, I just wanted to try to correct the situation with diet and exercise. After going back and forth, the doctor convinced me that my cholesterol was too high to just try dieting first. I agreed to try the statins for four months and, if at that time, my cholesterol was down, he would take me off the statins and let me try diet and exercise for the next four months. Hopefully, at that time, my cholesterol will be in normal range again and I will just continue eating healthy and exercising.

So, I have a plan and since I have been cooking from scratch for quite a while now, I feel confident that I can reach my goal. I will be using all my Spark tools to stay on track.

Here's to a slimmer me, just in time for the summer!
