Day 28 or is it? (Celebrating the Journey)

So it just occurred to me, that I am counting days based on when I recommitted myself last month. But honestly, my journey at spark people, my journey to a healthier me starting almost 10 years ago, on June 1st, 2006.

So in all reality, this is day 3574 of my journey. I kind of like the idea of that big number. It represents not just the days I have been committed to eating right and exercising, but it also represents the days that I backslid, that I re-gained and fed (pun intended) my fast-food addiction. Yes, I regained all my weight, twice. Yes, this caused and worsened medical conditions, but in the past 10 years I have gained so much wisdom. I am so much closer to really knowing myself. And I have gained a wonderful husband, and a beautiful baby girl both of whom bring me more happiness than I ever thought possible. And, though my weight has gone up and down, I have maintained a 5% weight loss from my highest weight!

So here is to the next 3574 days, may it bring me more wisdom, more happiness, and so many steps closer to a healthier me.

    Avery looks just like you!!!! It's so interesting to see you with long hair!! I know all about gaining wisdom as the years go by! I'm so happy that you know HOW to get the weight off. Me too, though for some reason I keep sabotaging myself and gaining every other week. I think I'm afraid of success! I DON'T WANT THAT TO BE TRUE!! We shall get there together!!! I have a Facebook group called "Sometimes, it's okay to gain WEIGHT"...where WEIGHT means Wellness, Encouragement, Inspiration, Guidance, and Helpful Thoughts.....it's a group of my friends who are all on their own journeys and sometimes just need a boost of motivation!     I have so much respect for you, you are a self confident woman just for the fact that you documented your pics and weights and posted them, I hate being on the other side of cameras.

    Keep me posted. You have a lovely family to stay healthy for. I am struggling right now cause I am visiting my family in s Carolona and we have eaten way more calories than I am used to but healthy food.(sort of as yesterday was Pi day)
