How amazing children are in our life

My dear grandson is on his March break and this week I have the honor of taking care of him. He will be making his 5th birthday pretty soon and only now I have had the honor of spending such quality time with him. My son divorced his former wife last year and it was a very bad moment for all of us. She was having a affair with another man. When his ex was around only her mother would take care of my grandson. I would only be able to see him on Fridays for my family dinner. Now that they have divorced he has half of the holidays with his son. That is great for me. I get quality time with my grandson. My grandson and I went shopping. I noticed so many little special things about him that unfortunately I never had the honor to experience. Today I was on cloud nine. He was so well mannered, always staying close to me. He asked me if I could buy him a soccer ball to play. Of course me being his grandma bought it right away. He was so excited because when we got home I baked some coconut cupcakes for his birthday party. He also saw me prepare allot of other things. He hugged me so much. He was so happy that I was doing special things just for him. I told him that tomorrow we will do our easter egg painting project. His eyes just shined with happiness. My day was so special. I thank God for all these special moments. He fills my heart and soul.

I made him a special lunch. I also played with him. Taking good care of myself is important so that I can keep up with him. He has so much energy.

Here´s to our special little ones in our lives. We need to get fit to keep up with them... lol...
