So You Want to Move to Canada, Eh?

This is pretty funny!!

(And really, we ARE that nice . . . no kidding. But the weather's not that nice. Last night's incredible ice storm has deposited a great big chunk of maple tree on the top of my house . . . gahh. Good luck getting an arborist over the long weekend . . . gotta hope there won't be any further damage.)

Almost moved just outside London, Ontario when I was a kid. I would have been okay with that. :)

Too funny! Have you seen the one where the Canadian is 'already' building the wall? As I side-eye the election process (and its candidates--lack of candidates?), I will say it has crossed my mind a time or two, but nah. You guys do win points for having the best looking prime minister, though (rawr).

That is so scary to have a chunk of tree fall on your house! I hope nothing else happens. Thanks for the smile!

Whenever I head or read something they said or did I think it must be a comedy parody. Then I see the video. Nope, it's them all right.

We're getting to the point that a candidate opposing them could use the slogan
"Vote for me. I have some flaws, but at least I'm not crazy"

Really funny are those who wanted to move to Canada when the Affordable Care Act took effect. Huh?

    That was funny!
I'm one of the screamers who said I'd go running to Canada if he got elected! My kids thought it was hysterical that I felt that strongly. I've never discussed politics like I do now.
My SIL said I could live with his mum in GB!

Good luck on the tree. We went through that the year before Sandy when we had a winter storm while all the leaves were on the trees.

    That was hilarious!

emoticon Yep... nice! Which reminds me, our state of Nebraska paid some public relations firm to come up with a new slogan, and "Nebraska - nice" was the best they could come up with? Seriously? Sigh.

Hope you warm up soon, up there! emoticon Here's a little flame to help.

    LOL!

Actually, though, Ted Cruz is a Canadian citizen. Maybe you could just take him back?

Sorry, no thanks. But, thanks for sharing this! Hope that tree does not cause any more damage! Yikes! That is what I hate about ice!!

Yikes! Glad no one was hurt! So glad you are (hopefully) off for the long weekend and do not have to travel on those icy roads! When the poor little maple tree behind my apartment was torn up in a storm, they never cleaned up after it, we had to do it ourselves, though they did pick up other branches of other trees on this property.
    Great video!

Perhaps we just ship Cruz & Trump to Canada "on loan". Just vote works for me. Love Canada and my Canadian friends but the weather will never be tolerable for this Sunthern Californian.

We must seem like nuts to you... emoticon

That was a funny clip! Just love Ellen.

Good luck with that tree! We had a tree in our front yard get blown down on top of our DD's red Ford Mustang convertible back when she was home on break from college. I will never forget how devastated she was! And all sorts of men showed up with chain saws to help us cut it up after we took photos per the insurance companies instructions. I think the men were having a good time with their tools and using the experience to have some good male bonding time! The memory gives us a laugh now that didn't seem possible at the time!

Hope your experience with your downed tree will prove to be a good one. Maybe time to do a little updating to the house?

Funny but also another reminder of why we moved from Chicago to Naples, FL. Just couldn't maintain my sense of humor through gray days, ice, sleet and snow. Course there are those who would trade all of that for the heat and humidity we get here six months of the year. No place is perfect and yet they all are, somehow!
