5% Spring into Summer Weight Loss Challenge

for one of my teams new Challenge. The challenge is to lose 5% of our body weight in 10 weeks. For me, that works out to just over 1 lb a week, which seems and SHOULD be totally doable. HOWEVER! I generally don't do well with the weight loss challenges. I'm hoping this one will be different for me. I think I'm going to try to mentally "forget" that weight loss is the goal for this challenge. I know that if I concentrate on eating smart, I will succeed.
Last night, I made a dinner menu for the next month and a mostly full menu for this week. I'm going out of town to meet my parents for a quick overnight camping trip this weekend, so not really sure what food will be for that. And I'm sorry, but it's simply not camping without a smore! LOL So, I'll just have to behave and have ONE and be done. I was supposed to have an Atkins frozen entree for lunch today, but of course I just realized I forgot that at home, so I'll have to find something downtown that's low carb. Probably a salad somewhere.
Another part of this challenge is a "road trip" with our daily step count. Our team leader has mapped out the hometowns for everyone. Right now my daily step goal is 8,000. I may try to raise that back up to 10,000. I lowered it when I was training for my half because on run days I always got over 10,000 however on my rest days 10,000 was too much. I'm going to be getting a new fitbit soon too, so this will be a fun way to break it in.
