What a nice surprise!

My youngest son (19 minutes younger than his twin brother) has just returned from living 5 months in Vermont working as a Pizza Chef in a ski lodge. He has a bit of a wandering spirit and loves to explore, fearlessly..... from standing on rocks at the edge of an ocean at Acacia National Park in Maine
To hiking to the top of White Mountain in New Hampshire after a snow storm
But his true identity is that of an author who specializes in historical fiction (he has a masters in history) with a focus on the Dakota Indians of Minnesota. He has had 2 books published - this was his first
Has done many book tours and lectures
and has his third book coming out in August. All while working multiple low-end jobs to earn enough money to pay for this life-style he has chosen to live (apparently, food delivery drivers make a whole lot of money in tips if anyone need fast cash!)
Here's the surprising part. He's only been home about 3 days and I got a call this morning. He wanted to know if I needed any help with anything. I said I need to clean the house but he probably wouldn't want to do that. He came, he cleaned and cleaned and my house hasn't looked this good in months! And we talked about all kinds of things.
And now almost all the things on my this week's "to do" list have been completed - I guess I can do something fun!
